Cleaning
M&D offers deep ultrasonic and electrocleaning services. Old, worn jewelry accumulates dirt, dead skin, and other debris that causes the appearance of darkened and broken stones, and blemished or discolored metal. Debris can be hiding in the hard-to-reach crevices in a ring’s gallery. M&D’s cleaning method eliminates these issues when restoring old merchandise to showroom quality for resale.
Re-Shanking and Re-Sizing
Old rings usually feature worn out shanks that are thinned, worn, damaged, and blemished. M&D will match and provide the metal necessary to replace old shanks. The replacement metal will match the color, karat, thickness and width of the ring’s original metal. All colors, karats, and metal types are available, including: all colors and karats of gold, platinum, silver, and more.
Missing Stones, Loose Stones, Damaged Prongs and Channels
If instructed, M&D is capable of matching and setting missing stones. Stones found to be loose can be tightened. Damaged prongs and channels can be re-built with matching metal.
